Management ka kehna hai ke Power Division already ek high-level inquiry report Prime Minister’s Office ko submit kar chuki hai jiska title tha ‘Non-utilization of Full Capacity: HVDC Matiari–Lahore Transmission Line.’ Lekin AGP ne is jawab ko bilkul unsatisfactory declare kar diya aur kaha ke ismein koi substantive justification present hi nahi tha. Audit ne apni recommendations clear kar di:
- Inquiry report ko audit authorities ke paas properly submit kiya jaye,
- Under-utilization ki asal wajah openly explain ki jayein, aur
- ek robust aur system-wide planning protocol introduce kiya jaye taake aise heavy financial losses future ke take-or-pay projects mein dobara na hon.
Yeh matter sirf ek transmission line ka nahi hai - yeh planning, accountability aur governance ke flaws ka bhi reflection hai. Billion-rupee ka loss sirf documents aur excuses se cover nahi hoga, balki proper system reforms aur transparent policies ki zarurat hai. Ab asli sawal yeh hai: kya Government aur Power Division seriously action lenge ya phir yeh case bhi ek aur ignored file bankar shelf par dust collect karega?
