UN General Assembly ke High-level Meeting mein, jo Fourth World Conference on Women ke 30th anniversary par New York mein hui, Deputy Prime Minister aur Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar ne Pakistan ke institutional aur legislative measures highlight kiye jo women empowerment ke liye liye gaye hain.
Unhon ne mention kiya: National aur Provincial Commissions on the Status of Women, gender-based violence courts, women police stations, aur progressive laws jo women ko violence, harassment aur discrimination se safeguard karte hain.
Deputy Prime Minister ne kaha ke social protection programs jese Benazir Income Support Program aur Prime Minister's Youth Program women ko poverty overcome karne, finance access karne aur entrepreneurial opportunities seize karne mein madad kar rahe hain.
Unhon ne underscore kiya ke Pakistan ke liye women empowerment Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah ke vision ka guiding principle hai, jinhon ne kaha tha ke “no nation can rise to glory without women standing shoulder to shoulder with men.”
Deputy Prime Minister ne kaha ke Pakistan mein women politics, judiciary, civil service, law enforcement aur armed forces mein leadership roles hold karti hain.
Unhon ne kaha ke Pakistan ko yeh distinction haasil hai ke Muslim world ki pehli female Prime Minister yahan elect hui, aur recently Punjab ki pehli woman Chief Minister bhi elect hui hai.
Deputy Prime Minister ne international community ko urge kiya ke urgency, courage aur solidarity ke sath act karein taake har woman aur girl poverty aur violence se free life jee sake aur inclusive aur sustainable development mein contribute kar sake.
