Deputy Prime Minister aur Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar ne strong appeal ki hai ke duniya foran action le aur Occupied Palestinian Territory, specially Gaza ki ongoing tragedy ko end kare.
Unhon ne yeh remarks diye OIC Committee of Six on Palestine ke meeting mein.
Ishaq Dar ne kaha ke Palestine ka cause sirf OIC ka central issue nahi, balki uski existence ka main reason hai. October 2023 se ab tak 63,000 se zyada Palestinians shaheed ho chuke hain aur 94,000 se zyada injured, jismein ziada tar auratein aur bachay hain.
Unhon ne concern express kiya ke civilian infrastructure jaise homes, hospitals, schools, aid convoys aur shelters ko deliberately target kiya gaya hai. ICJ ne situation ko “plausible genocide” bhi kaha hai. Lekin despite global calls from UN Security Council, General Assembly aur ICJ, Israel ka indiscriminate war continue hai – jo clear international law aur humanitarian law ki violation hai.
DPM ne kaha ke Gaza ke logon ko bombing, starvation, forced displacement aur humanitarian aid ki denial ke zariye punish karna morally indefensible aur legally untenable hai.
Unhon ne highlight kiya ke West Bank, including East Jerusalem mein settler violence aur military aggression bhi escalate ho raha hai, jo extremist Israeli leadership ke wajah se aur dangerous ban gaya hai.
Ishaq Dar ne stress kiya ke ab waqt aa gaya hai ke OIC foran aur permanent ceasefire ki demand kare, aur ensure kare ke civilians tak secure humanitarian access ho. Saath hi unhon ne UNRWA ke liye renewed international support ki bhi appeal ki, jo abhi bhi millions of Palestinians ke survival ke liye indispensable hai.
Unka kehna tha ke forced displacement, illegal settlements aur Palestinian land ka annexation immediately end hona chahiye, specially West Bank aur East Jerusalem mein. Saath hi unhon ne demand kiya ke lands aur cultural assets jo 1967 se seize kiye gaye hain unka restitution ho, aur displaced Palestinians ke liye right of return guarantee kiya jaye.
Unhon ne clear kaha ke war crimes aur crimes against humanity ke liye accountability honi chahiye, aur occupation forces ko reparations pay karni chahiye.
DPM ne emphasize kiya ke ICJ rulings ko implement karna zaroori hai, aur Arab-OIC reconstruction plan for Gaza ko follow karna hoga jo post-conflict recovery, development aur Palestinian dignity restore karne ka vital framework hai.
Saath hi unhon ne international protection mechanism aur independent sovereign State of Palestine pre-1967 borders par, Al-Quds Al-Sharif capital ke saath establish karne ka demand kiya.
Ishaq Dar ne reaffirm kiya ke Pakistan hamesha Palestinians ke saath khada hai. Aur ab jab Pakistan UN Security Council ka non-permanent member 2025-26 ban raha hai, toh Middle East peace aur Palestine justice humari top priority hogi.
Unhon ne conclude kiya:
“Justice delayed is justice denied – aur jab generations ke liye justice deny hoti hai, toh peace ke buniyadi pillars toot jate hain. Yeh bloodshed aur occupation end hona chahiye. Palestinians ko dignity, freedom aur statehood ka haq milna chahiye.
