DPM Ishaq Dar ka UNSC high-level meeting mein Middle East crisis par strong address |
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar ne UNSC aur wider international community ko Gaza crisis par decisive steps lene ki appeal ki, besieged territory ko unhon ne “graveyard for humanity and global conscience” kaha. DPM Dar, jo foreign minister bhi hain, PM Shehbaz Sharif ke sath 80th UNGA high-level meeting New York mein attend kar rahe hain.
Apne UNSC address mein Dar ne kaha ke Gaza ke hospitals, schools aur markets ruins mein tabdeel ho gaye hain, 64,000 se zyada lives lost aur 100,000 se zyada injured ho chuke hain. “These are not mere statistics, yeh grieving mothers, suffering children aur revered elders hain,” unka kehna tha. Dar ne kaha: “The time for words has passed, the time for action is now,” aur demand ki immediate ceasefire, humanitarian access aur blockade lift karne ki.
Unhon ne reaffirm kiya Pakistan ka support for a sovereign Palestinian state on pre-1967 borders with Al-Quds al Sharif as capital, aur France-Saudi Arabia ke two-state solution conference ko welcome kiya.
OIC session mein Dar ne kaha ke Pakistan peace ko advance karega as UNSC non-permanent member 2025-2026, jab ke settler violence aur raids West Bank aur East Jerusalem mein intensify ho rahe hain under extremist Israeli leadership.
