Israeli Forces Seize Gaza-Bound Aid Boat Carrying Greta Thunberg

Israeli forces intercepted a British-flagged yacht, Madleen, carrying humanitarian aid and a 12-member crew—including climate activist Greta Thunberg—on its way to Gaza. The vessel, organized by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, aimed to deliver symbolic aid and raise awareness of the humanitarian crisis in the besieged enclave.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed the boat was taken under control and is en route to an Israeli port. All passengers are reported safe. Israel labeled the mission a “propaganda stunt” in support of Hamas, while UN rapporteur Francesca Albanese urged more boats to challenge the blockade, declaring, “The mission isn’t over.”
